Mercy offers a variety of Sacramento support groups to encourage patients as they manage their heart disease, including our Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Support Group, for patients with implanted devices.
Group meetings allow participants to meet other individuals who have an implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD), as well as their family and friends.
The ICD Support Group meets quarterly in 2011 on Mondays from 6 to 8 p.m. Meetings are held at Mercy General Hospital.
Topics planned include:
March 28 - "An evening with your electrophysiologist"
June 27 - "How to decrease your risk of heart attack and stroke"
Sept. 26 - "Latest innovations in appropriate ICD Therapy"
Dec. 12 - "Device programming and optimization: Why does it sound like a foreign language?"
Call 916.733.6966 for more information.
